TKST stepped coupling
to join pipes of dfferent
O.D.´s
Teekay Stepped Coupling
The Teekay Stepped coupling is a "problem-solver" on any site with the ability to join pipes
of different O.D.´s and different materials.
Typical applications
- refurbishments (where the contractor is connecting a piping system back into the
original layout).
- repairs the old water mains (where the pipe is so corroded it needs to be replaced
with a new material in metric size).
- chamber connections
- pipe material transitions
- joining metallic pipe to plastic pipe.
Sizes
48,3mm to 3.000 mm
The table below is a guide to the most common sizes. Couplings to suit specific outside
diameters not listed may be manufactured to order.
Stepped coupling Dimensions
Pipe O.D. | Coupling Widths | max. Step |
48,3 - 82,5 | 85 | +5 |
83,0 - 99,5 | 110 | +12 |
100 - 326 | 110 | +15 |
151 - 205 | 140 | +20 |
200 - 1250 | 140 | +25 |
241 - 560 | 210 | +25 |
561 - 3050 | 210 | +25 and +40 |

Working pressure
Figures are based on typical values for standart wall carbon steel pipe.
Minimum burst is 4 times working pressure for marine applications.
For industrial and land- based applications. Minimum burst is 1.5 times working pressure.
