rubber coated steel gasketFD.S

rubber coated steel gasket DIN 2690/ EN 1514-1 type IBC
Version
Vulcanized rubber seal shaped like a lens, rounded corners, self-centeringsteel ring vulcanized
in rubber that is enclosed on all sides by the selected elastomer and is therefore fully protected
against corrosion and media.
Advantages
• Small leakage values for uneven surfaces due to the smoothing effect of the elastomer
• Even at low torque values, relatively small leakage rates are achieved
• Simple handling, especially in comparison to non-reinforced rubber seals
• High shape stability and prevents from being pressed out due to the steel core
Materials
Elastomer | Temperature range | Approvals | Shore/ Hardness |
---|---|---|---|
EPDM | -30°C to +120 °C | TA-air, KTW, FDA | 70 (+/-5) |
NBR | -25°C to + 70°C | TA-air, DVGW, KTW, FDA | 80 (+/-5) |
FPM (Viton) | -20°C to + 200°C | TA-air | 75 (+/-5) |
Pressure
max. 25 bar (depending on nominal width)
The technical data are only guidelines and not assured properties.
Please contact us when in doubt.
