Connection
The standard circuit diagram (Fig. 3/5) contains a 3-wire connection for AC and DC.
A 2 wire DC connection (Fig. 4/5) is also possible as an alternative.
BBP Backup battery pack
To guarantee the safety the operating system in case of a power failure, the actuators in the
J3 series can be equipped with an internal backup battery pack (BBP).
This backup battery pack is integrated into the housing of actuators equipped with it.
It allows movement to a prescribed and selectable safety position in case of a power
failure (normally open=NO / normally closed=NC).
The charging time after moving to a safety position for models 20 and 35 is 8 minutes,
and for models 55 and 85 it is 10 minutes.
The charging current is 1200 mA.
Since the device is an emergency device, it is not designed to be supplied continuously with current.
