Seal design
The concept of the grooved pipe systems is safe and easy.
The coupling housing, as an integral part of the pipe connection, fulfills several functions.
It contains the completely enclosed seal, reinforces it, and secures it in its positionin order
to ensure a perfect seal.
The housing also engages the full circumference of the groove in the pipe and therefore creates
an integral connection that also offers the advantages of a mechanical connection.
The sealing efficiency of Victaulic seals already starts when the seal is stretched over the ends
of the pipe and forms the initial seal.
When tightening the housing segments, the elastic seal adapts to the inner space of thehousing
and thereby reinforces the sealed connection to the pipe as well when under pressure
as well as when in vacuum conditions.
The Victaulic seal reacts to pressure; when the inner pressure is increasing, the seal is pressed
against the pipe.

Class "E"
Recommended for hot water pipelines in the specified temperature range as well as for
a series of diluted acids, oil-free air, and many chemicals.
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PETROLEUM
Class "T"
Recommend for petroleum products, hydrocarbons, air with oil vapors, plant and mineral oils;
not recommended for hot air +60°C and water over +66°C.
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR HOT WATER
Class "E(A)"
Vic-Plus pre-lubricated seal
Only applies to wet and dry (oil-free air) sprinkler systems.
For dry media, it is recommended to by Victaulic to continue using FlushSeal seals.
