Available equipment:
• P+F NJ5-11-N-G inductive sensors
(2 pieces or 1 piece position "open" or "closed")
• TURCK NI5-G12-Y1 inductive sensors
(2 pieces or 1 piece position "open" or "closed")
• Additionally solenoid valve connection (single or double)
Standard limit switch boxes have a F05 flange fitting, as well as a fastening hole diagram
for M4 screws. Suitable mounting brackets are available in various designs.
Compare the protection types according to DIN EN 60529:
IP 65: Housing is dustproof and protected against sprayed water
IP 67: housing is dustproof and protected against strongly sprayed water
IP 68: Housing is dustproof and protected against temporary immersion in water
ATEX

> IIC T6:
Explosion group (IIC) in dependency on the temperature (T6):
The maximum permissible surface temperature of the equipment in an atmosphere of flammable
substances such as ammonia, methane, propane, or hydrogen, for example, is only 85°C!
Cable entry:
Depending on the version of the cable gland, the cable cross-sections must be selected correctly,
otherwise the correct sealing of the limit switch box can not be guaranteed.
Cable gland | Cable diameter |
---|---|
M20/ PG 13,5 (standard) | Ø 8mm - 13mm |
M16/ PG 9 (optional) | Ø 5mm - 8mm |
PG 11 (optional) | Ø 6mm - 11mm |
Electrical connection
The cable gland must be opened. The stripped end of the connection cable is inserted through
the cable gland. The circuit diagram is located on the outside of the housing.
The connection of the individual wires to the terminals provided in the circuit diagram must be
carried out as follows:
- Insert the screwdriver into the actuating opening as far as it will go.
- Press down the screwdriver and push the stripped conductor into the terminal strip.
- Pull out the screwdriver. The conductor is now securely clamped.
Please note that only the wire and not the insulation is clamped!!!
After the connection cable has been jammed in the terminal, tighten the cable gland and close the
box. It is essential to ensure that all seals and components are properly installed and tightened.
This is necessary to ensure compliance with the required protection class (IP65 / IP67)!
